Hello, I am Andreas :)
I started learning Korean in July 2024. I had been following BDB for some time and learned a lot with the short pieces and I liked the way Korean was presented. I was lacking speaking practice and BDB focuses on the practice of speaking including banmal, so I decided to register for a seminar.
1. What you liked the most about the course?
I like the approach of organizing the material in interesting issues like cultural comparison or personal goals. In each meeting, some topical vocabulary was introduced and two important grammar points where treated, which were then used in practical speaking exercises. I liked it very much because I had actually not spoken any Korean before. The seminar was very entertaining and interesting.
And the feedback, both during the course and on my homework, was very helpful. I also liked very much, that my personal level was perfectly addressed by the teacher and that I could always improve a little bit.
For me, the most important thing in studying is the fun aspect. And studying BDB was really entertaining and interesting. And it made me want to learn more about Korean language and culture.

I highly recommend the conversation class!! The grammar we study is very useful, and the topics are genuinely fun and engaging. As someone who has been learning Korean for a long time, I still find the vocabulary fresh and practical. Even when some grammar points are review for me, I’ve always struggled to use them naturally in conversation, and this class has really helped me integrate them into my speaking. I feel that taking this course greatly boosted my motivation to speak Korean fluently. The teacher made learning fun, especially when it came to building vocabulary.
